Legend/TWSSG Episode 6

Damdeok was able to ward off Kakdan’s advances to the Imperial Guard head allowed him to leave the palace and he promised to be back as soon as possible.

He then went to the Yuen’s residence and made a deal with his uncle. He asked him to make the necessary action so that the members of the Black Army and Sujini can be released. He told him that if it’s the throne that the Yuen wants, he is willing to give it up. Lord Yuen asked him them if the throne is so insignificant to him that he is willing to give it up that easily. Damdeok told him that it’s not, it is just that he knew that Ho Gae was born under the Jushin star and since he is also waiting for the Jushin King he is willing to give it to his cousin. He asked him just to wait a little more and when the right time comes the throne will be given to Ho Gae.

Lord Yuen: I don’t think it is available right now. There must be some official reason to release them.

Damdeok: Make the reason, then. I know you can.

Lord Yuen: I will do my best.

Damdeok: I hope you to hurry. There is one who is very wild among the detainees. I trust you will.

Lord Yuen: Thank you for showing your sincerity to your servant Yuen Garyo.

Kiha on the other hand tried sneaking out of the Divinity House but she was caught by the Priestess. She was about to be tortured and interrogated as to why she was sneaking out when she was saved from that situation when a request for her presence and skills arrived from Lord Yuen. The head priestess/oracle did not have any choice but to send her away.

The head of the Hwachoong clan, the evil Dae Jong Ro was not pleased of the outcome of the meeting that took place between Lord Yuen and Damdeok. If the agreement pushes thru they will no longer have the chance of having an influence to the future Jushin King. He ordered Kiha to get closer to Ho Gae.

Back to the sacred room of the palace, the Taeshil, the King then visited his son. Damdeok told his father that he went to his uncle and made a deal. The King was angrya nd saddened by the fact that his son is willing to give up his throne. Damdeok told him that why should he block heaven’s will (believing that his cousin was the real Jushin King) and besides he asked his father if he’s happy being king and living in the palace. He said he wanted to live a normal life free of the dangers and loneliness that the the throne entails. The King then concluded that Kiha played a major part on his decision to give up the throne and turn his back on the palace.

King: Is it the woman who belong to the shrine? Her name was Kiha, right?Did she ask you to live with her? Leaving your country and the will of the heaven? To live happily? You don’t know. You don’t know who you really are. You don’t know how many people have been waiting you for such a long time.

The Hwanchoong and the Yuen conspired to make Ho Gae the Jushin King.

Ho Gae and Kiha met again. It is very apparent now that he really is smitten with her.

Ho Gae: Do you remember me? I always wanted to know if you remember me. As you work at the shrine, I couldn’t see you often. I couldn’t ask you.

Kiha: I saw you often. At the ceremonies held at the shrine, and at the Kyukku match.

Ho Gae: It was just once in a long while for me, while it was often for you.

Kiha: I will be staying here for a while.

There is a meeting in the palace, the leaders of the 5 tribes and the King. The leader of the Black Army tribe was not permitted to attend it. The other leaders are egging the King to pass on the throne to Ho Gae because recent events showed that Damdeok is clearly not qualified to be the next King. The King then summoned the Head Priestess/Oracle and asked for her expert opinion. The priestess said that the Heavens already gave its message and it is clear that Damdeok is the true Jushin King and that he was born under the Jushin Star. The King then announced that the coronation will be held the next day for his son, Crown Prince Damdeok.

Hyeon Go heard what the priestess said so he went back to his village to gather more information about it.

The priestess also inform the King that the coronation must wait since it is not yet time for he is not yet awakened. The King told the priestess of what Damdeok’s deal with the Yuen’s. She was quite apprehensive about the whole thing and must be so vigilant because the Yuen’s will definitely so something about it.

If Damdeok dies because of that, he is not the one. “If he doesn’t awake even if we shake him so hard, we must have been wrong.”

Ho Gae on the other hand was somewhat embarrased and mad with his father’s actions, forcing the King to make him the next King.

The leader of the Black Army Tribe, Heuk Gae, had an audience with the King. He was told that that a coronation will be held soon and that he should bring his daughter to be the future King’s bride as dictated by their tradition. He also told him that in the situation that they have now there is a gret possibility that his tribe will fight with the other tribes and that it could mean the death of him and his own tribe to which Heuk Gae said:

You need not ask me for my cooperation, just order me what to do instead.

Hwanchoong men kidnapped the eldest sons of the leaders of the other three tribes. Their fathers thought that it was the King who ordered the kidnapping so that they will not prevent the coronation. Kiha then asked Dae Jong Ro of his plans about Damdeok. He then warned her not to fall in love with anyone because of her past and whoever she falls in love with will be an enemy of the Hwanchoong.

Lord Yuen gathered the other 3 tribe leaders in his home to show to them that Ho Gae is indeed the true Jushin King. He introduce them to Kiha and Dae Jong Ro. He told them of the legend that the Jujak will be awakened if the presence of the true Jushin King. Kiha does her thing and made the Jujak shine so bright so they were able to convince the other men that Ho Gae is indeed the right one.

Damdeok back in Taeshil talked to Kakdan, his guard. They talked about the sacred room and if the spirits of the ancient King lives there. Kakdan told him that it had been said that their spirits go there every now and then and just discuss with themselves the fate of the people.

Yes, I said that I will give him the title of the crown prince. Now there will be no worry of shedding blood here. I hope you are relieved.

Ho Gae of the Yuen family… he was the only one who smiled to me.
He wanted to be my friend.
However, I killed his mother.. in order to save my father.
He will become a good king. I think he will.

So… won’t you tell me that you are relieved?
