I am building a new home which is practically the same as this one although I am trying to make it better than this, hopefully. I will still continue writing for this one…hahaha…I know I have not written any lately…too many distractions!

However, my new home is at http://asiandramaaddict.com or you just simply click here.

It may be down sometimes because I am still trying to organize and fix things. The whole COFFEE PRINCE recaps are already there and I am on the process of trasnferring HANA KIMI. I am painstakingly transferring the posts manually for God knows why… it will take too many hours for me to tell you all about it anyway you are all invited to go over there…I hope I can fix it before the month ends…

See yah!

After his military stint, Kim Jong Kook is back and on fire. His 5th album is already out and his new songs are hitting the charts. I guess the fans totally missed his unique voice. When you got talent, it does not matter how long you hibernate…people love him, he is truly back! I love his voice and his songs!

Here are some of the cuts from the album…

Today More Than Yesterday…click here to watch the video or here to listen to it.

I don’t know why this song makes me smile, its very light and easy to the ears. I am sorta hoping that he can sing in English. Would that be fantastic or what?!

Forever with Mighty Mouth…click here to listen to it.

어떤 사람 어떤 사랑…click here to listen to it.

If you want to listen to the whole album, click here.

I know I have already posted that Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Dong Gun collaborated recently to record a song entitled “Salad Song”. I was quite excited when I saw the photos but what I did not expect is the joy I felt when I saw the video, hence, the second post.

Apparently, this is for a ZIpel CF that YEH endorses. What I am confused about is why LDG is singing with her? Correct me if I’m wrong but I do not think he is endorsing Zipel. What is in it for him? Are the higher ups, sending out feelers? You know, trying to see if the fans will positively react to it and have them do something more? A drama perhaps?

Some says that it would not be possible since LDG will be entering the army soon. Some says that maybe it is for LDG’s album.

And as for me, I couldnt care less about the how’s and why’s. I was treated to a 3 minutes or so of the two of them together on one screen. They got chemistry. Watch the video below and tell me that they make quite a lovely pair. Do not get me wrong, I am still a fan of YooYeh or the Coffee Prince couple but I can’t deny that YEH and LDG got chemistry. The stealing glances, the shy smiles, the grinning, the cannot look at each other without smiling or grinning as if they share a special private joke. Ha ha ha.

It was probably nothing since they were never linked with each other in the past but YEH has that uncanny ability to have great onscreen chemistry with everyone she worked with. They just look cute and adorable together.

I know you will agree with me when you watch both videos: a longer one and a shorter version.

Kim Jong Kook held his first Japan Fan Meet a few days ago. Lucky Japanese fans! They get to hear KJK sing again.

I am not familiar with the other artist except that his name is Ju Sook and I hope I got it right.

I like his look better at this last photo. I never really thought I will enjoy his music but a friend (Hi Bgurl!) more or less introduced the guy to me and his songs are on my playlist.

OST Galore

Recently, the OST of different songs I’ve heard used in asian dramas are now playing non-stop on my ears. When I’m on the road, working, blogging and even when I’m sleeping, it plays continously. Thank God for new tech innovations otherwise, the CD would probably be so overused.

I don’t have time to make my own playlist here with download links so I just went on to search for youtube vids

COFFEE PRINCE From: Anivon

TWSSG From: deejae3717

SOULMATE From: aquamarine88

SPRING WALTZ From: MuayJK

LOVERS From: angieslee

HANA KIMI Japan From: whiteanime004

SILENCE From: silverdolphine

HANA KIMI TaiwanFrom: zhaiairen07

I think I need to do a part two.  By the way, I just realized that most of the songs in here is at the OST page so just check it out.

  • Jumong filed a libel suit against a lady reporter. Actor Song Il kook, 37, who played the title lead in Jumong filed a 2 billion (1.5 billion to the internet news service and 500 mil to the reporter) libel case against a freelance writer/contributor to a magazine catered for women. This reporter was the first to filed a case against the actor for pushing her while she was trying to have an ambush interview outside his home. She claimed that she sustained an injury that will take her six months to recover from. She also claimed that while she believes that he did not intentionally pushed her  she is still demanding an apology from him. SIK vehemently denies the allegations and said he will absolutely follow up on the case since he did not do whatever she claimed he did. He also said that if ever he pushed her accidentally or otherwise, he will definitely apologized right there after it happened. He is planning to donate the money if he won the case to the Taean oil spill mess.
  • Shin Dong Wook (War of Money, Soulmate) in a JDorama. Japan’s BS-I Channel got SDW to be a part of  a popular  TV Drama Series titled The Cell Phone Detective opposite local teen actress Aya Omasa. They started shooting last December and he needed to learn some Japanese language for he will be needing to deliver some lines on some of the scenes. This cute 25 yr old actor developed a fan base when he appeared in Soulmate and rose to popularity when War of Money aired last year and that paved the way for more Japanese fans when they started  airing it in the Land of the Rising Sun. His episode will be aired on the last week of February.
  • Jang Hyuk (Thank You, Windstruck) tying the knot in June. This actor will be a father this month, hence, the marriage…(just my two cents, dont shoot me). The 31 yr old actor met his fiancee in a fitness gym in 2002. He had made several dramas and couple of movies that paved way for his popularity but during its peak he was called in to do his military service. He made a successful comeback with the TV drama series entitled Thank You, which I enjoyed so much. His new drama series, The Robbers is currently on air right now opposite the charismatic Lee Da Hae.
  • Screen Names History Revealed. A local korean program featured how some of the popular celebrities got their famous names. One of Korea’s biggest star Rain got his name from his former producer/mentor Park Jin Young. Everytime they are recording his songs, it was raining outside. So, he began to tease him and called him Rain. It stucked with him and the fans loved it. The Coffee Prince hottie star Gong Yoo who is the newest celebrity to do his 2 yr military duty got his screen name by combining the names of his parents and that inspired him to work doubly hard and stay out of trouble which he did. I pretty sure his parents are so proud of his achievements. SBS’s newest series The Robbers lead star Jang Hyuk got his screen name by borrowing it from his manager. The same with Fashion 70’s star Jo Jin Moo.
